All caregivers are certified professionals, and Alvita Care is licensed by the Connecticut Department of Health to operate as a Home Health Care Agency—allowing us to offer a wide range of home care and nursing services that go far beyond those of most agencies in the state.

It is important to note the difference between Home Health Care Agencies like Alvita Care and the more than 1,000 Homemaker Companion Agencies in Connecticut, which are licensed by the Department of Consumer Protection. Unlike Companion Agencies, which typically cannot provide nursing services or advertise certified aides, Alvita Care employs Certified Nurse Assistants who are supervised by Registered Nurses. Our caregivers offer essential support services such as bathing, feeding, mobility assistance, and more—alongside skilled nursing services when needed.

With Alvita Care, Connecticut families now have access to in-home nursing services that include medication management, wound care, infusion therapy, respiratory support, catheter and ostomy care, and more. These services are available on both a visit and hourly shift basis—something rarely offered by other agencies in the state.
