Meet Darly Alvarez

Darly Alvarez is a New York State certified Personal Care Aide and joined the Westchester County team on May 11, 2025.

Although Darly has been a PCA since November 11, 2022, her journey with the company began this year and she made an immediate impact right away. Her very first assignment was Cluster Care at Atria Rye Brook, a role she stepped into with no prior experience. Within just a few weeks, she mastered the responsibilities and became a trusted and valued part of the team.

Her willingness to learn, adapt and succeed speaks volumes about her character and commitment.

A Day Powered by Purpose

Darly’s days are nothing short of remarkable. She lovingly describes herself as a Jill of all Trades and her schedule proves it.

Her mornings begin with one-on-one private duty care in a client’s home. In the afternoons, she works with children in a school setting, supporting them in a non-teaching role. Her evenings are spent providing Cluster Care at Atria Rye Brook.

“I manage my time carefully using a detailed calendar and to-do lists to keep track of shifts and tasks for each job.”

Darly works three jobs, not out of obligation, but out of love and determination. She sends money to her family in Indiana, builds savings, gains experience and is actively preparing to pursue a future career in Nursing. Her days are long, but her purpose is clear.

Inspired by a Mother’s Strength

When asked what inspired her to become a caregiver Darly’s answer comes straight from the heart.

“My mother inspired me through her strength, sacrifice and love. I witnessed her care for a loved one, saw her resilience through difficult times and her unwavering support for me and our family.”

Living alone in New York, Darly carries her mother’s words with her every day. Her advice is simple, yet powerful: to become independent and take responsibility for her own life and well-being. That guidance continues to shape the caregiver and woman Darly has become.

Words of Wisdom for Fellow Caregivers

Darly believes caregiving begins with patience and kindness, not only toward others, but towards yourself.

“Be patient. Accept what you cannot control. Recognize that some things are beyond your influence.”

She also reminds caregivers to offer themselves grace.

“Treat yourself with the same compassion you would offer a child learning something new. It is okay to make mistakes.”

Her advice reflects the quiet strength she brings to every role she steps into.

Finding Support and Teamwork

Darly speaks highly of the support she receives from the Client Success Coordinators and leadership.

“I love working with our Client Success Coordinators because they create a supportive environment through scheduling, communication and problem solving. They match me with suitable shifts, ensure adequate staffing and help prevent burnout.”

She also values the Town Hall meetings led by the Market Manager, which give Cluster Care aides the chance to share experiences, learn from one another and feel supported as a team.

What excites her most each day is being part of the Atria Rye Brook Cluster Care team where everyone works together with one goal in mind the well-being of the client.

Pride in Making a Difference

When asked what makes her most proud as a caregiver Darly’s answer is simple and powerful.

“Making a difference. Knowing that your skills and effort truly matter to clients and their families.”

That sense of purpose fuels her long days her dedication and her dreams for the future.
